In Native American communities today, powwows have evolved into multi-tribal festivals that take place all around the United States.

One dance item that stands out at a powwow is the dance bustle, pictured, worn by Honovi Bear Duenas of Oxnard, featuring golden eagle feathers, at the 12th Annual Chumash Day Powwow at Bluffs Park, featuring Native American arts, crafts, music and food.
