Leo Carrillo State Beach is a popular spot for swimming, surfing, tide pools, coastal caves and reefs for exploring. When the winds pick up in the afternoon, its ideal conditions for windsurfing.

The park was named after Leo Carrillo, actor, preservationist and conservationist, as a result of his service to the state.

Leo's greatest fame came from his portrayal of Pancho, the sidekick to Duncan Renaldo's The Cisco Kid, an early 1950's TV series. You can also visit his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
