Rocket

A thick white plume over the Pacific Ocean cuts across the afternoon sky after a United Space Alliance Delta IV Heavy rocket launched Thursday with a classified spy satellite.

At 235 feet tall, this was the largest rocket to ever launch from the Vandenberg Air force Base in California.

Analysts say it is capable of snapping pictures detailed enough to distinguish the make and model of an automobile thousands of miles below.
