Monsoon

The peak period for monsoonal related thunderstorm activity in southern California is from mid July through early September.

Oh, that saying, "it's five o'clock somewhere,"

How about a Monsoon cocktail.
1 1/4 light rum
4oz sweet and sour
1oz pineapple juice
1oz passion fruit
lots of dark (Meyers) rum.
Cheers!

My very life today
If I don't get some shelter
Oh yeah, I'm gonna fade away.  --Rolling Stones

Raccons

Raccoons are commonly known as the "Masked Bandit."

They can literally open doors, unlatch a cage and even unlace a shoe.

They live by one set of rules-theirs, and they can change the rules whenever it suits them.

Guess folks decided to customize their rides and take the scenic route.

Liberty

You don't have to travel to New York to see the Statue of Liberty.

There are hundreds of replicas of the famed monument throughout the world, including a colorful, tiled one here in Malibu.

Since winning the 1986 national Statue of Liberty look-alike contest, Jennifer Stewart of Brooklyn, roams the world as "Lady Liberty" in green garb, torch and tablet spreading the spirit of liberty.
